"A survey is a method of collecting data from a group of respondents. These surveys can have numerous purposes and can be carried out in many ways. Surveys are the foundation of research, and the data is collected in a standardized procedure to avoid bias."
Survey data can be carried out face-to-face, through telephone, offline surveys, and online surveys.
The most important items are questions and response rates. Based on many years of classroom experience, and designing surveys for different industries, in order to have an acceptable (statistically valid) response rate, the introduction letter (landing page) for the survey needs to explain the purpose of the survey, include confidentiality, and to motivate respondents. And of course questions need to keep respondents interested and engaged.
Currently, one section of our College Prep Plus platform is allocated to surveys. They all
can be easily edited, progress saved, and returned to at a later time.
