Recently there have been many comments about Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Social Emotional Learning is the process of developing and using social emotional skills. Its main components are: Self-Management, Self-Awareness, Social Awareness, Responsible Decision-Making, and Relationship Skills.Published research shows that SEL improves achievements by an average of 11%, it also increases prosocial behaviors (such as kindness, sharing, and empathy), improves student attitudes toward school, and reduces depression and stress among students. The latter is very important for Therapeutic consultants and Schools’ Wellness departments. Our comprehensive platform, College Prep Plus, not only has the capability of providing college search, career search, college financial planning, and communication with Admission officers, it also includes 4 surveys. These 4 surveys are: Interest Profiler, Transition Competencies, Academic Engagement, and Social Emotional Learning. The last one can be conveniently used by Schools’ Wellness departments, as well as Therapeutic organizations (during in-take and discharge of their clients). Questions are designed through grants by the Department of Education, and the survey designs are based on my many years of consulting work designing customer experience programs for different industries.
