Transitional Competency for students should allow us to gather information about their needs, preferences, and interests. Analysis of the results will allow us to evaluate their readiness for employment, post secondary education and independent living.
It usually involves surveys, interviews, and observations. If done correctly, it will help for successful preparation and planning for next steps in life.
If data collection is carried out through a survey, we need to have an effective cover (landing)
page, correctly designed questions, and analysis of results.
The survey method can then be used by school districts to collect and analyze information for their students.
